Although the band had two photographers travel with them, Rosie McGee and Mary Ann Mayer, only Mary Ann photographed the tour. Many of her photographs, along with McGee’s, can be found in the Archive’s photograph series, which often includes prints from journalists. This part of the Archive is an especially powerful and evocative expression of the band’s attitude of including their fans in their work, for many of the images are fan snapshots, sent in by well-wishers, or amateur pictures received in exchange for a photo pass to the show. This series of photographs by Heinrich Krebs captures the band in one of their German performances.
